City - Kastela

Kaštela is a city in Croatia with 38,667 inhabitants. The city is located on the coast of central Dalmatia between Split and Trogir. There are seven castles: Kaštel Štafilić, Kaštel Novi, Kaštel Stari, Kaštel Lukšić, Kaštel Kambelovac, Kaštel Gomilica, Kaštel Sućurac. The coastline is climatically protected by the Kozjak. In the back country of the settlements, there are many fields where fruit, olives, wine and vegetables are grown. In addition, Kastela is a tourist center and a popular tourist destination. It is also home of the international airport of Split.
